How do you find the right breeder?

When you have already decided that Xolo is the dog you dreamed of, you start looking for a native breeder with whom you will be comfortable and easy to agree, who will be understandable and open to you, to proceed to stage 2 - the purchase of a Xoloitzcuintli breed puppy.

Where do you start your search?

With the paperwork.

✓Officially registered kennel or breeder is ALWAYS a big plus.

Look at his documents.

✓ A breeder who respects his breeding and himself will always be ready to show you the documents he has.

✓Explain the details of the purchase of the puppy:

-Booking conditions

-At what age is the delivery

-Access to meet the puppy in person and at what age

-What vaccinations have been given

-Whether the breeder/kennel will support and advise you after you have purchased a puppy

-What documents will the puppy have with him

-Are there contractual terms of purchase, what does it say (can you ask to see the contract)

✓Chat with the breeder personally or by phone, ask all your questions about the breed, the temperament of the breed, the principles of breeding in this kennel / breeder, the parents of offspring, a puppy you can ask the breeder and so on. Up to questions about the health of the parents and what health checks have been made, is there a confirmation from the vet, etc.

✓Share your expectations and plans for the puppy. What will you do with the adult Xolo and is it suitable for the breed, are there small children in the family and is the puppy ready for this family structure.

✓ And even ask what kind of care and routine the puppy needs. What to feed, how to walk, how to bathe and lots of other questions you need to ask to make sure this is YOUR RESPONSIBLE BREEDER!

Don't be afraid to ask, because the worst part is NOT asking and buying a puppy blind.
